    What this session will cover

Against a backdrop of increasing competition from overseas courts and tribunals, and the uncertainty for UK civil justice caused by Brexit, the issues in commercial litigation session will examine how the courts and legal profession of England and Wales have responded to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Key features of the litigation process in England and Wales will be placed under a microscope and scrutinised by expert legal commentators to see whether, from the perspective of international litigants, our courts and procedures remain fit for purpose.

In addition to a keynote speech from a member of the Supreme Court, other speakers will include representatives from the Disclosure Working Group responsible for drafting the new Disclosure Pilot Scheme, senior judiciary from the Business & Property Courts, GC100 and experts on privilege, private and public international law, and the use of technology in civil justice.

Further information regarding the session, including the speakers, will be added to this page in due course.
