What this session will cover

Join our panel session to explore recent case law from English, DIFC, and ADGM courts on interim remedies for fraud victims, including freezing orders, Norwich Pharmacal orders, crypto fraud remedies, the “immovables rule,” and claims for knowing receipt.

Recent judgments have looked at:

1. When freezing orders in England can be obtained in support of DIFC proceedings
2. The use of Norwich Pharmacal orders in connection with foreign proceedings and differences of approach between the DIFC and English courts
3. The availability of various legal remedies in the context of crypto fraud
4. The “”immovables rule”” that a foreign Court has no jurisdiction to make orders in respect of land situated in England and that rights relating to such land are governed exclusively by English law
5. Claims for knowing receipt and the requirement to hold a proprietary interest

Please not that this session will be followed by a sandwich lunch for those who wish to join.
