The professionalisation of sport over the past 40 years has stimulated unprecedented growth in the international business of sport. Global and local sporting events are now big-business with multiple stakeholders invested in off-field commercial outcomes and financial returns. With more now financially at stake in the business of sport, unsurprisingly legal disputes in both curial and arbitral fora are becoming more frequent.
