What this session will cover
Our panel will discuss UHNW wealth and asset protection strategies, highlighting issues when disputes arise. They will explore global structures, tax efficiency, and family convenience, emphasising unintended consequences and challenges in litigation and enforcement across various jurisdictions.
A panel discussion exploring the interplay between UHNW wealth and asset protection strategies and issues that arise when a dispute unfolds. Many UHNW individuals and families structure their wealth across a number of jurisdictions with a focus on tax efficient structures and family convenience without considering the unintended consequences if a dispute arises. When and if family or businesses circumstances change and a dispute arises, the best laid plans to preserve assets can unravel quickly in a dispute and can make litigation inevitable and enforcement problematic. The panel will explore nuances and some lessons learned in dealing with global structures, family and trust arrangements and assets in a number of different jurisdictions.
