More than 40 years ago, the English Court of Appeal described Worldwide Freezing Orders as one of the law’s ‘nuclear weapons’. More recently, the same court observed that this description was no longer apt in view of the frequency with which English Courts granted such orders.
This event will examine recent trends in the grant of Worldwide Freezing Orders by English Courts. It will provide insights into the recent case law and address strategic considerations relevant to obtaining and resisting such orders before the English Courts.
