What this session will cover
London remains at the epicentre of fraud litigation, armed with effective interim remedies. This session explores obtaining search orders in English and foreign proceedings, touching also upon the unique role and challenges of supervising solicitors overseeing these orders.
The London courts remain at the epicentre of fraud litigation, with an armoury of effective interim remedies at their disposal. Join us for an informative session exploring the critical role of one of the key tools, search orders, in the investigation and prosecution of international fraud cases. This event will focus on how search orders, particularly in cross-jurisdictional contexts, serve as powerful tools to uncover hidden assets and find crucial concealed evidence. Fraud experts Pinsent Masons, 3VB and Walkers will discuss the benefits, challenges and complexities involved in obtaining and executing search orders in international fraud cases. We will focus on obtaining these orders in England but will also look outward to other jurisdictions where they may be available as part of a global strategy, including in the DIFC, the Channel Islands and further afield. We will also explore the practical issues involved in being a supervising solicitor appointed to oversee the execution of these orders, a role which brings unique challenges and perspectives on the process.
