What this session will cover

With the 2034 FIFA World Cup almost certainly going to Saudi Arabia, hosting arrangements for the next three FIFA World Cups are as good as confirmed.

Our expert panel will update attendees on the bid projects, before a discussion that will focus on potential disputes and risk mitigation. We will cover the interactions between ambition, scale, governance, ESG, media, and other influencing factors, and the likely playbook as the bids are realised.

The panel will draw on their experiences of successes and disputes in many major stadia builds over several Olympics and World Cups (including in Qatar).

The panel will also discuss the incredible ambition of the Saudi bid and the unique challenges that will be met to deliver a 2034 World Cup in The Kingdom, more effectively and better than previous hosts.
