Allen & Overy, Hardwicke Chambers, Maitland Chambers, Penningtons Manches, South Square
The courts of England and Wales have long been the go to forum for cross border insolvencies. Can this pre-eminence survive the current political thunderclouds? Will English insolvency proceedings and judgments continue to be recognised abroad and how will the Courts deal with orders obtained overseas? We will assess the future for international insolvency disputes in this jurisdiction no matter what the outcome of the Brexit process.
The session will be chaired by Andrew Denny, Allen & Overy. Speakers are: Mr Justice Zacaroli, Catherine Addy QC (Maitland Chambers), David Allison QC (South Square), Sarah Clarke (Hardwicke Chambers), Alex Fox (Penningtons Manches), and Jennifer Marshall (Allen & Overy).
Registration and catering: Registration, networking and breakfast will be available from 8:00–8:30 am, in time for a prompt 8:30 am start to the session.
